Why not?
Every reason you've got for not doing this work β I've heard it, and most of them I've said myself. So let's take them one at a time, at face value, and see what's left standing. Why the f*ck not.
βWhy is it always the man's fault?β
It isn't. But you can only see her share clearly after you've cleared yours off the table. Work on yourself and the rest, by default, is hers β now you can make an informed decision about this marriage instead of a defensive one.
βAren't you just man-bashing?β
No. Man-honing. We bash so that we can hone β the sledgehammer exists to wake you up, not to put you down. If you disagree with me, good. It means you're engaging.
βWhy not just see a therapist?β
Therapy is good β it pulls the rug back and shows you the hurdle you keep tripping over. But I met a man who'd had 42 sessions in a year and felt like he had 42 problems. Someone still has to teach you to jump the f*cking hurdle. That's this.
βIt costs too much.β
Have you ever tried to do a day's work after your wife told you you're a f*cking idiot? You can't. This costs less than the money you're not making β and a lot less than a divorce.
βWhy so controversial?β
Because controversy made you stop. The hook exists to wake you up so the real work can start β I do it on purpose, and I'll show you exactly how the whole thing works.
βWhat if I'm in the wrong marriage?β
You might be. Working on yourself is the only honest way to find out β clear your side of the table first, and then you can actually see what's hers. That's not surrender. That's the opposite.
